American-Made, Goodyear-Welted Chromexcel Boots … by UGG?
If you’re like me, you think UGGs are those bulbous boots that college girls inexplicably wear with short skirts on sub-60 degree days.
And they are … but apparently, UGG also offers the Harrisburg: a men’s boot, made in Arkansas using Goodyear-welt construction from rich Horween Chromexcel leather. Featuring a commando sole, Poron cushioned insole and—of course—UGG’s signature sheepskin lining, the Harrisburg has the makings of a sturdy and comfortable bad weather boot.
Hands on reviews are scarce, but it looks like Alex Kang wore a pair of Harrisburgs through New York Fashion Week and gave them high praise.
I get the sense that the Harrisburg is a new product, and at $295 it’s clearly meant to compete with Red Wing’s Iron Ranger and the Wolverine 1000 Mile. Only time will tell if it can hold its own against those well-known and well-loved boots.
While I’d love to see it in the deep cordovan Chromexcel known as color No. 8, right now the Harrisburg is available in Black and Chestnut.
Been wearing them 5-6 days a week since NYFW and they’re breaking in beautifully. Still stand by these.

UGG australia // Harrisburg
So if you’ve been following my blog for a minute you know that I’m a huge fan of boots. You also know that I’m a huge fan of beating the crap out of my boots. Well, I got my hands on a pair of the Harrisburg boots from UGG and beat them up real nice during #NYFW. Ran around everywhere in these. Traveled around Manhattan and Brooklyn with these on for 3 days straight and they’re already broken in to perfection.
Like the other UGG boots in the lineup, these are SUPER COMFORTABLE. Like it’s lined-with-clouds comfortable. I can’t think of any other pair of boots or shoes that are as comfortable as these right out of the box, or atleast only after 3 days of wear. Everything on this is premium. The leather upper, the sheepskin-lined insole, Goodyear welt; you name it, this thing’s got it. Not to mention it’s got the looks too…
I think #NYFW was a major test of endurance and aesthetics, and these boots passed with flying colors.

UGG Australia for Men // The Lion, NYC
Last night UGG for Men hosted an event with an intimate group of influential men at The Lion in West Village to celebrate the launch of their Fall 2013 UGG for Men “For Gamechangers” campaign.
In addition to showing off some really dope boots, they had a panel of guests who were deemed men of character; Sian-Pierre Regis of Swagger New York, Lawrence Cann, CEO of Street Soccer USA, Edward Song, founder of Korilla BBQ food trucks and John DeLucie, Chef & Proprietor of The Lion. There was a brief Q&A session and hearing what inspires these guys to be different was really cool. Very inspirational and motivating.
As always, UGG threw another amazing event, with cool drinks and BOMB food. Thank you UGG for having me out last night. I skipped class for the event and it was totally worth it :)

UGG Australia // Fall 2013
Had the opportunity to swing by UGG Australia's Fall 2013 presentation and above are some of my favorites from the collection.
I know it’s easy for everyone to dismiss UGG as being “ugly” or for high-school girls in sweat pants but the people over at UGG have been doing some amazing things. Atleast for the #UGG4Men collection. All of their boots are SUPER comfortable, and as you can see, it’s not the UGG you’re thinking of. They have a plethora of styles and all are seriously like walking on a cloud.
P.S- The two in the middle are for kids and the one on the right with the Teddy Bear; they need to make that in a men’s size. I’d rock those.

“Belly dancers? Where?!”
Got a chance to check out the Spring 2013 collection from UGG Australia and I have to admit, I’m very impressed. I saw a few great looking sneakers and slip-ons that are perfect for the Spring/Summer, but one stood out the most.
The EDGEBROOK (or the low-top version) in the chestnut brown color. Pictures really don’t do much justice here, you have to see it in person, it’s really cool brownish, orangey color that’s just perfect to wear with jeans and a tee.
I really enjoyed their Winter collection too so I’m excited to see where #UGG4Men is headed in the future.

Here’s a list of some boots you might like
i cannot emphasize how nasty (good) the Timberland Earthkeepers are. They can seriously take a beating, but again, the only problem is that they are not very warm. So if you plan on trekking out in the snow, wear some thick socks, other than that, in the rain it’s perfect. I’m the asshole on rainy days that stomps through every puddle in the city, splashing anyone within an 8ft radius.
Also, the UGG Capulin are great hiking boots. They are SUPER SUPER SUPER comfortable and super warm. It’s seriously like walking on a cloud. Sometimes I walk down the street and wake up like 3 blocks later, they’re that comfy. They’re also very waterproof and you know with the Vibram soles, you’re in good hands… err… feet?… shoes? … you get the idea.
I hope that helps.

Red Wing Heritage Classic Work 6” Round Toe
My favorite boots. Took a few wears to break them in but once they’re broken in, they are surprisingly comfortable for such heavy duty boots.
Very stylish looking combat boots. I haven’t had a chance to try them on but they look amazing and I hear good things.
These are my beater boots. The boots are waterproof and can take a real beating. Had it for about a year now, wore it in snow, rain, sleet, and they still look brand new. The only thing is, if you’re gonna wear it in cold weather, you need to make sure to wear some thick socks. Other than that, these are pretty nice.
My go-to dress boots. You can’t really pull off any of the boots listed before this with a suit/blazer, so these are always on deck for the “special” occasions or for meetings.
HERE's a look at some of my other boots.
I hope that helps.
