Dockers Alpha
One of my favorite pair of pants, and that Buckskin color is so dope.
Dockers Alpha Camo Fall/Winter 2012
Dockers Alpha Khaki
Okay, so I can’t seem to find these on the Dockers website anymore… not sure if they are discontinued or sold out but hopefully they’ll be back in stock…
Anyway, if you remember my previous post about these pants I was a bit hesitant on ordering them because of the different images I’ve seen of the color. Well, after receiving it today, I can tell you that it’s a perfect blend of dark and light greens. Since these were released for the Spring, it makes sense that the colors are a bit lighter than your typical camo trousers. I think these would go perfect with a plain white tee and some canvas sneakers. There’s no need to go overly rugged with your outfit by throwing in some rugged boots, or dark color tops just because you’re wearing camo. This print just only adds to the outfit’s masculinity; I think it’s just as easy to dress it down and keep it casual with these pants.
I’ve been a fan of the Alpha Khaki’s and these camo ones are definitely here to stay. I hope they come back in stock so you guys can order them too… or maybe it’s better that no one else has em…. >:)
Dockers Alpha Khaki
If it’s actually as dark as the picture shows here, this might not be too bad… but if it’s really light like this, then it might look a little too tacky =\ who to believe?

i ordered a pair (sigh) so i’ll see firsthand.

I think the Rugby Vintage Chino University Pant and Dockers D1 are my two favorite slim chinos on a budget. However, between the two, I would have to give it up to the Rugby jawnz. The fit for me is PERFECT as the thighs are approximately a 16” opening so my thunder thighs fit in snug. Also the tapered leg gives me a slimmer profile. The dockers are nice too, especially because they’re so cheap, but you can tell the difference in material when you touch them. The Rugby joints are of a heavier cotton and the Dockers feel like they’re more for Spring/Summer. I know the Rugby ones are approximately double the price, but it definitely is more than double in quality.
I hope that helps.
So a few days ago I asked MrDanger to recommend some solid grey chinos that’s below $80. I usually get my chinos from Rugby but I just wanted to see what else is out there… Anyway, MrDanger recommended the Dockers Alpha Slim Fit chinos. These are my first pair of Dockers and I gotta say, the quality is pretty damn good. Their motto for these pants are; “Break em in like jeans. Wear em like khaki.”

and they truly are built like jeans. The fabric is pretty heavy so it can be worn pretty much all year round. I think the fit is very close to a 511. I can tell because it’s just tight enough in the thighs to be socially acceptable.
The best thing about these pants are the slight tapering. If you’re wearing slim chinos you don’t want the pant leg just going straight down and leaving that excess space around your ankles. Especially, if you’re wearing the pants like me:

it’s almost skin tight around the thighs, so for the rest of the pant leg to come down and open up around the ankles will look so awkward, especially when I’m walking and having that flap at the bottom flailing in the wind as I take each step.

The build quality on these are seriously amazing. I feel like I can go play basketball in these without a problem (they’re that comfortable too). The orange accents (although only on the inside) is a nice touch for pants on such a low price range. For anyone looking for a nice pair of pants that will go well with almost every event, whether its work, going out on a date, or chillin at the bar with your friends, I highly recommend the Dockers Alpha slim fit pants.
