always out here.
carrying a bunch of stuff.
Anonymous asked: Peace Alex, I hope you're well. I'm going back to school next week and I completely forgot that I need a new bag. I've always found that the bags I've bought have been too small (maybe I just put too much in them?). This year, I thought I'd ask someone - YOU! - for recommendations on a bag. I'll have four classes a day and I'll be taking a lot of food (u kno). Do you have any recommendations? Or can you point me to someone that might? Peace.
Plenty of room for all your textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, hand sanitizer, banana, cheerios, pickles, and whatever else you might be taking to class. Since the bag is also waterproof, this is what I carry on my commute to classes in the rain. Great bag, great quality.
Ernest Alexander // Aiden Charcoal Wax Utility Tote
NEW BAG ALERT!
Been eyeing this tote for a while now but it has been out of stock for some time.
But I was able to flex my blogger muscles and have Ernest hand deliver it to my house and feed Oliver too. Luckily for me, Dillon, notified me once one became available and held it on the side for me :)
The bag is absolutely amazing. I picked it up last night during the snow and It was awesome to see the waxed canvas go to work in the treacherous snow. Everyone knows about me and beating up my things to show some wear-n-tear and this bag is just perfect for that. The waxed canvas over time will show some age and it’ll look that much more amazing.
The quality is just outstanding. I know this bag will take a beating and last. I also know that Ernest Alexander stands behind all their products. I’ve had a friend who had the strap on his messenger bag fall off and when he brought it to the Ernest showroom, they fixed it up for him for free. That’s outstanding customer service, which is a major justification for dropping almost $200 on a tote.
The bag is also a perfect size for a guy. I’ve had totes with long handles that made it look a little feminine, but the thick leather straps on this utility tote is the perfect length. Just long enough that you can fit your arm through it and hang it from your shoulder, and just short enough that when you hold it in your hands, it doesn’t drag on the floor.
It can get dangerous sometimes when you’re carrying an open bag around NYC, but this bag has an interior zipper pocket that’s perfect for your more valuable items. The main bag itself is definitely strong enough and well lined that I would feel safe throwing in my DSLR and a bunch of extra layers that come off as I’m wandering the city.
I can’t say enough good things about this bag. It’s just a perfect carrying piece for anyone’s wardrobe.
Thank you Ernest Alexander for making such quality products and standing by them by offering such stellar customer service, and thank you Dillon for letting me know when the bag came in and hookin me up!
Anonymous asked: hey alex, what backpack do you use? thanks ;)
I cycle through the following;
Jack Spade // Swedish M90 Cordura Dipped York Brief
Nike SB Camouflage Backpack
where to buy doe? everyone out of stock/backorder
incase Range Messenger
Anyone know if this bag is available in-store somewhere? I’d really like to check it out in person before pulling the trigger on it. Thanks
I just ordered it. I think this seems more practical, and aesthetically matching with my personal style. The Ernest Alexander bag will have to wait until I’m older? More mature? Richer? I don’t know…I have other incase bags and I’ve always been satisfied with their quality so I’m sure this won’t disappoint, but I’ll have a full review of this bag once it arrives.
Currently lusting for this…are there any major gift-giving holidays coming up because I want this reeeaaalll bad :(
Tommy Ton x Club Monaco rucksack bag collab dropping mid-late March. Kinda excited to see what they’ve done here but at the same time I know it’s not gonna be much. I mean, how much more can you do to a leather rucksack to make it any more unique than the next? Add a few straps here, a buckle here, a flap here… Honestly, the bags I’ve seen at Ernest Alexander have really won me over and I don’t think I’ll ever be as “wow-ed” as I was when I first laid my eyes upon the Ernest Alexander bags. Still, it’s interesting to see the kind of collabs that are happening and going retail. Tommy Ton has an amazing eye for style so let’s just wait and see what’s coming.
