Ernest Alexander // Aiden Charcoal Wax Utility Tote

Been eyeing this tote for a while now but it has been out of stock for some time. But I was able to flex my blogger muscles and have Ernest hand deliver it to my house and feed Oliver too. Luckily for me, Dillon, notified me once one became available and held it on the side for me :)
The bag is absolutely amazing. I picked it up last night during the snow and It was awesome to see the waxed canvas go to work in the treacherous snow. Everyone knows about me and beating up my things to show some wear-n-tear and this bag is just perfect for that. The waxed canvas over time will show some age and it’ll look that much more amazing.
The quality is just outstanding. I know this bag will take a beating and last. I also know that Ernest Alexander stands behind all their products. I’ve had a friend who had the strap on his messenger bag fall off and when he brought it to the Ernest showroom, they fixed it up for him for free. That’s outstanding customer service, which is a major justification for dropping almost $200 on a tote.
The bag is also a perfect size for a guy. I’ve had totes with long handles that made it look a little feminine, but the thick leather straps on this utility tote is the perfect length. Just long enough that you can fit your arm through it and hang it from your shoulder, and just short enough that when you hold it in your hands, it doesn’t drag on the floor.
It can get dangerous sometimes when you’re carrying an open bag around NYC, but this bag has an interior zipper pocket that’s perfect for your more valuable items. The main bag itself is definitely strong enough and well lined that I would feel safe throwing in my DSLR and a bunch of extra layers that come off as I’m wandering the city.
I can’t say enough good things about this bag. It’s just a perfect carrying piece for anyone’s wardrobe.
